National Wine Festival

Place of event: Chisinau, Moldova
It is an old Moldavian tradition when the fermentation of the new wine ends. A big celebration is organized, gathering all friends and family members at one table. Traditional dishes are served; national music and dancing makes you feel ancient atmosphere or rural Moldova. The wine is tasted and estimated, being the result of a long and hard work of wine makers. Wine Festival is organized every year and coincides with the Chisinau Day on October 10.
The festival presents a big national stile wine tasting where wineries present their best products and usually is visited by many foreign guests and partners. It is set at the main city square and lasts for 2-3 days. The Festival program opens by the winemakers' parade and includes official part with the Moldovan President speech and a colourful show, after which the tasting itself begins. The show ends late in the evening with the fireworks.
